Maui: Day 1

Yesterday Brian and I had breakfast in Kihei and then headed up towards Laihana. On the way, we stopped by the Aquarium and saw turtles and sting rays. At Laihana, we strolled the shops in 85 degree weather and high humidity. Then, we ventured down and cut across a golf course to visit the "Dragon's Teeth" - an area formed by lava cooling against the ocean.

Tom and Steph's wedding was really beautiful. They got married right around sunset overlooking the Maui shoreline. The reception was fun with great food. I guess at about 9 or so, Brian and I started to look exhausted and Tom sent us back to our hotel. It took about 40 minutes to get back to Kihei and when we did, we crashed.

We were supposed to go to the crater before sunrise but that was impossible so instead, we are traveling around the island and down to Hana.

Maui: Day .5.

It's 6:30 in the morning and I am sitting in our hotel room bed enjoying the sunrise on my face.

Hawaii has been uneventful so far. We arrived at around 7:30 p.m. when the sun had already set. It took us about 5 minutes to figure out how to unlock our hotel room door - and we got some Jack In the Box - and finally collasped (after I did a template, of course). We're planning on going to Laihana today - for some shopping and sightseeing and of course Tom & Steph's wedding!
